Food
This is my TOP food rec in Paris and it's an udon restaurant. But seriously so good, I found out about it from an influencer (Chriselle Lim) lol.
Was temporarily closed in late 2025 but is now open again!
Asian fusion menu. Would recommend if you're in the area, but not enough that you should travel for it.
We went here for the lunch tasting menu, because it's cheaper than the dinner menu.
I really enjoyed this meal but tbh don't know enough about other fine dining restaurants in Paris to recommend this over others.
Lots of raw seafood and also has nice wine.
Famous falafel shop! I think they have in person seating, but I just ordered at the counter/did take-out.
Great fresh oysters and clams, their bok choy mussels was great.
While you wait, go to their sister bar — Septime La Cave .
Located in Le Marais. Not as good as Kazu, but gave it a run for its money.
Upscale French food. Pretty good food. We found out about this spot because Dua Lipa went the month before.
Great pho, very authentic.
Expensive but very yummy madeleines.
Very tasty gelato with fun flavors — Claire got chestnut / vanilla, Gary got mandarin.
Bars
This is the og Ritz and has a few bars inside, would recommend if you're in the area.
Shopping
CityPharma is where I went - they supposedly have cheapest prices + offer tax refund!
You can get specific brands for much cheaper in the US (Caudalie is like 50% off, La Roche Posay). All pharmacies sell the skincare (look for the green cross) but some are cheaper than others, I'm not sure if all of them have the tax refund forms.
